ASC activities shift to the Denver Rescue Mission’s “Crossing” facility in northeast Denver. There ASC works closely with men in the agency's "New Life Program" for exercise, relationship building and learning about future community service events. Veterans’ Treatment Court (VTC) is one of seven “problem-solving” courts in Jefferson and Gilpin Counties. The strategy is, instead of putting men and women in jail for crimes associated with substance abuse disorder, let’s get them into what is basically an outpatient rehabilitation program sanctioned by the courts.
