ASC South at All Soul’s in Englewood
The ASC Knuckleheads invite you to join us for a community outreach movement designed to unite communities with pro-social activities. Let’s be honest folks, we have become too divided as a nation. Why not build a stronger cord to one another with wellness? Giving Heart is another Change The Trend partner with A Stronger Cord. Each Tuesday and Thursday from 11am-2pm, the wonderful non profit hosts a day shelter for those experiencing homelessness. Giving Heart’s mission is to intentionally engage in relationships with those entangled in poverty by being God’s hands and feet, by building transformational relationships while serving Englewood’s less fortunate. ASC activities shift to the Denver Rescue Mission’s “Crossing” facility in northeast Denver. There ASC works closely with men in the agency's "New Life Program" for exercise, relationship building and learning about future community service events. Veterans’ Treatment Court (VTC) is one of seven “problem-solving” courts in Jefferson and Gilpin Counties. The strategy is, instead of putting men and women in jail for crimes associated with substance abuse disorder, let’s get them into what is basically an outpatient rehabilitation program sanctioned by the courts.
