Veterans’ Treatment Court (VTC) is one of seven “problem-solving” courts in Arapahoe County. The strategy is, instead of putting men and women in jail for crimes associated with substance abuse disorder, let’s get them into what is basically an outpatient rehabilitation program sanctioned by the courts. A Stronger Cord encourages veterans of military service to consider becoming a mentor or civilians as volunteers to help those who served our country advance on the comeback trail and build a stronger cord to their families, purpose and communities.
