Watch: Volunteer personal trainers offer free workouts to Denver’s homeless population
February 3, 2015
A Denver program offers free workouts to the city’s homeless. It’s called “A Stronger Cord” and founder Mark McIntosh organizes free work outs four nights a week. He says the program goes deeper than just exercise. “The work out is the entry point, but it’s really the relationship building,” says McIntosh. “That’s when the magic happens.” The men gather from the Denver Rescue Mission to work out and talk about life.
